Pain perception varies from person to person, but for a majority of people, a tattoo is usually described as slight discomfort rather than unbearable pain.
The most common reaction I get when I begin a tattoo is “Wow, that does not hurt as bad as I expected.”
Pain levels also depend on the location, size and detail of the tattoo.

Healing times vary depending on the tattoo, immune system and personal hygiene of a person.
Typically, it takes around 2-4 weeks for a tattoo to fully heal.
Follow aftercare instructions to promote fast and proper healing.

A touch-up is a follow-up session to refine and polish up a tattoo. While not always necessary, some tattoos may benefit from touch-ups to ensure longevity, as sections may fade or fall out. Touch-up sessions are free of charge, so if you’re ever unsatisfied with how your ink has healed, don’t hesitate to contact me and we can arrange a free touch-up session.

Absolutely! I am very happy to work with any and all of your designs, with some restrictions: I won’t tattoo another artist’s work without their permission, I won’t tattoo names of friends or partners (family members are okay) and I may turn a design down if I think it is out of my skillset or I am uncomfortable doing so. Contact me before you book if you are unsure!

If you are worried about a specific condition, it is a good idea to consult a dermatologist or qualified doctor. They can provide insights into how your skin might react and offer guidance on whether certain inks or aftercare products should be avoided.
Allergies:
If you have known allergies to certain metals, pigments, or other tattoo-related substances, it's crucial to outline these when booking. Allergic reactions can range from mild irritation to more severe responses. Let me know if you have any allergies so I can choose the appropriate ink and supplies to avoid potential allergens.
Skin Conditions:
Certain skin conditions, such as psoriasis, eczema, or dermatitis, can impact the healing process of a tattoo. Discuss your specific conditions with me and together we can assess whether getting a tattoo is advisable. In some cases, I may recommend waiting until the skin condition is under control or moving the placement of the tattoo.
In some cases, especially if you're uncertain about potential allergies, I can conduct an ink patch test. This involves applying a small amount of ink to a discreet area of your skin to observe for any adverse reactions before proceeding with the full tattoo.
